Child Safety Standards

These standards cover the Cold Approach AI app for Android and iPhone and this website, coldapproach.ai. Cold Approach AI is run by Cold Approach AI LLC ("we", "us").
Zero tolerance
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. This includes:
- Any content that sexualizes a minor.
- Grooming a minor.
- Using the app to pursue anyone you know is under 18.
Adults only
Cold Approach AI is only for adults 18 and older. It only coaches users on approaching adults 18 and older. Users confirm they are 18 or older when they sign in.
People do not always look their age. If you find out that the person you are talking to is under 18, end the conversation and walk away. Stopping right away is what we expect. Continuing after you know is not allowed.
How the app is built
In the app, users only talk with an AI coach, by voice or text. They cannot contact, message, or see other users in the app, upload photos, or post anything public.
What the coach does
The AI coach is instructed to refuse to help with approaching anyone under 18. If a user says or finds out that the person is under 18, the coach tells him to stop and leave her alone. It is instructed never to produce sexual content involving minors.
How to report
Anyone can report a child safety concern, whether or not they use the app.
- In the Android app: tap Report under any coach answer, add a note, and tap Send.
- On any device: email support@coldapproach.ai with "Child safety" in the subject.
What we do
- We review every child safety report and act on it.
- We remove content and delete accounts that break these standards.
- We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, as US law requires. We keep related information as the law requires.
- If we learn that a user is under 18, we delete their account.
Laws we follow
We comply with child safety laws, including US federal law on reporting CSAM (18 U.S.C. 2258A).
